A question for Out of the Trenches - unlike railways they couldn't be sabotaged, unlike horses they didn't need food and unlike walking they allow rapid movement, so why weren't bicycles used for troop transport in WWI? Pneumatic types and derailleurs existed pre-1914 so the technology was mature enough and they could always be reused by new soldiersAnswered 1 year ago. Question posted by Anonymous.
Just incredible stuff you are doing here! Question, at what point did the soldiers or people at home grow disillusioned or lose trust in the military and ruling politicians? Or was this just a war that was viewed as win at all costs and such thoughts never arose?Answered 1 year ago. Question posted by Anonymous.
