I'm always curious about the film in these and other WW1 videos: is it from the actual war or a later recreation? If so from what time, the 20s? I've heard film wasn't actually much in use in that war, though I could be wrong. And the sound effects are added, surely? I mean silent films were after this. I like it with the sound effects though.Answered 1 year ago. Question posted by Anonymous.
Why wouldn't the French take a machine gun into account when deciding how much ground an infantry charge could take. It's not as if the French were unaware of their existence and I feel if I was general that saw the high rate of fire that is produced from a machine gun I would know not to attack such an object. Maybe I'm nuts, maybe they were, who knows, but I will say I have not knowingly sent millions of men to their deats in futile mass assaultsAnswered 1 year ago. Question posted by Anonymous.
I'm loving this channel so far, i have a question, will you also look into the colonial conflicts in africa, for example the german rais against Portuguese and Belgian territories, who were neutral (at least at the time) throughout august and september 2014?Answered 1 year ago. Once the trenches reaced the coast and neither side could outflank the other, why did no one try to move through Switzerland to outflank their opposition? Sure Switzerland was neutral, but so was Belgium at the start of the war and that didn't stop GermanyAnswered 1 year ago. Question posted by Anonymous.
