Hey guys, great show! I was wondering when you think each major power reached a point of no return in WWI?

Hey guys, love the show, keep up the good work!
I was just rewatching your episode ‘A Banker’s Perspective’ and was wondering wether it is possible that the ‘short war illusion’ was not an illusion because the logic behind it was wrong, but because most powers involved in WWI did not act in their own best interests as could be expected of them but rather on the whim of generals, or heads of state? When do you think each major power in WWI reached a point of no return, what was the point after which the stakes where so high it was worth going all in with the war?
