According to G.J. Meyers in "A World Undone", Ludendorff didn't particularly want nor expect Hutiers army in the south to break through the Entente's lines. In fact, he both wanted and expected such a breakthrough to occur in the northenmost sector. With that in mind, why oh why... did he post Bruhmüller with his famous Feuerwalze-bombardment with Hutier in the south?
