Hi Indy! I've been reading a comic set in WW1 called Charley's War. In this comic, a german plane once bombarded enemy trenches with steel arrows. Also, an german platoon mounted machineguns on the backs of their strongest soldiers, using them as mobile tripods during their assault. That last one sounds particularly fictious, but the author claims both are based on real events. Could you tell us if there is any truth to them, please?
