Hi, could you speak about the story of Colonel Driant? He was both deputy and officer during the war. In France, his men and he are considered as heroes for the defence of the Bois des Caures at the begining of the battle of Verdun. Thanks for the videos :-)Answered 7 months ago. Hi Indiana, hi folks. You are doing an awesome show. Which you know. Of course. Following question: Fokker built planes for the German Fliegertruppe. Was Fokker exclusively buidling aircraft for Germany? How did that affect Dutch neutrality? Was there no pressure from the Entente forces on the Dutch goverment to stop the trade with the German army?Answered 7 months ago. Question posted by Anonymous.
Indy and crew. I note that you always treat each leader primarily with a note of censure. - 'in summary, despite X's famous successes at _,_ he was still an arrogant (& perhaps racist) man who blundered and got thousands pointlessly killed. Is there anyone in leadership on any side of the war that you can wholeheartedly endorse for excellent leadership? Or to look at another side of the question, if a leader had achieved all his objectives with a minimum losses to his side, no tactical errors, and treated enemy civillians kindly, and their soldiers humanely, would you approve of him?Answered 7 months ago. Can you please explain why Franz Ferdinand was probably the worst man in Europe if not the World? I can't say I know all that much about him but it was surprising anyway (it seems to me Konrad von Hotzendorf could definitely contend for that title). As for Ferdinand, didn't he want to give Slavs more rights within the empire in a kind of tri-parite kingdom and as mentioned in the video, countered Hotzendorf to calm down tensions between Austria-Hungary and Serbia? So, how was he so bad exactly?Answered 7 months ago. Question posted by Anonymous.
