Could you tell us more about the Leaning Virgin of Albert story? It was something about how a statue of Mary was knocked over by Germans near the Sommme, but never actually fell down. It gave some soldiers comfort thinking that there might have been divine intervention in the war.

The Leaning Virgin of Albert was knocked over sideways by German artillery. I think there is a story about who ultimately knocked it over, but it wasn’t very clear. I was wondering if you could clarify on this story and how the soldiers thought that when it ultimely fell over the war would end. Ironically I think it fell in 1918. Love the show! Keep up the great WARk! Pun intended😏
